Q: When do I have to apply for the protection plan? A: SportEAR’s protection plan must be purchased within 30 days from date original warranty expires. Additional plan years may be purchased as long as your current plan is in effect. May be renewed for up to 3 years of coverage beyond the original service warranty that is included in your purchase.
Q: How much does it cost? A: The cost varies according to the number of years of protection you buy. The price is for each unit. For a pair of SportEAR the price is the cost for the plan times two. (2 units X price = Cost)
Q: If I am having issues with my SportEAR device, what do I do? A: Call SportEAR Customer Service at 877-856-3002 or log on to the website, www.sportear.com, for help and directions.
Q: If I need service on my SportEAR device, what do I do? A: Call SportEAR Customer Service at 877-856-3002 or log on to the website, www.sportear.com, for help and directions. Fill out the attached claim form. Ship the completed form, a copy of your protection plan receipt, and your device to SportEAR. SportEAR will repair it with no charge for service. Shipping charges will apply.
Q: If I can’t find my receipt, what do I do? A: Call SportEAR Customer Service at 877-856-3002 or log on to the website, www.sportear.com, for help and directions. We will do our best to help you.
Q: Can my protection plan be renewed? A: Yes. Approximately 45 days prior to the expiration date, a renewal notice will be sent to you so you can continue your protection plan for up to 3 years additional coverage beyond the one-year warranty you receive when you purchase. You can renew up to the date of expiration of your previous plan.
Q: Can I renew my plan if my previous plan has expired? A: SportEAR’s protection plan must be purchased within 30 days from date original warranty expires. Additional plan years may be purchased as long as your current plan is in effect up to 3 years of additional coverage. If more than 30 days has passed since your warranty expired, you will not be eligible.
Q: What if I want to cancel the protection plan? A: You have 30 days to request a cancellation. Return a copy of the receipt for the protection plan to SportEAR with a letter explaining that you would like to cancel. Cancellation by you within 30 days of the effective date will result in a full refund.
Q: Does the protection plan cover other manufacturer’s hearing and protection devices? A: No. The protection plan only covers SportEAR devices.
